On Tuesday, April 29, 2025, a group of students from the Faculty of Economics at the University of Tehran, coordinated by the Industry and Society Relations Unit of the Institute for Economic Development and Research, attended a session of the open floor in the Islamic Consultative Assembly. This provided them with a firsthand look at Iran’s legislative process and parliamentary system.

Following their time in the open session, the students toured the Parliament’s valuable Library, Museum, and Documentation Center—an institution that showcases the history of legislation and the political and social developments of Iran through documents, photographs, and significant artifacts.

Experiences like this not only acquaint students with the structures of governance up close, but also help strengthen analytical perspectives and deepen understanding of the historical context and policymaking processes that shape economic and social development.
